Manitoba has conducted a new immigration draw under the MPNP, focusing on candidates with strong local ties. The invitations prioritized international graduates who completed their studies in Manitoba and skilled professionals meeting provincial labour demands. This targeted approach supports the province’s efforts to fill key workforce gaps.
MPNP Draw Details
On July 10, 2025, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted two separate draws targeting candidates under the International Education Stream (IES) and the Skilled Worker Stream (SWS). A total of 67 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued, further supporting Manitoba’s focus on retaining international graduates and skilled professionals essential to its labour market.
Highlights of the Draw:
- The draw focused on two streams: the International Education Stream and the Skilled Worker Stream.
- A total of 67 candidates were invited to apply for provincial nomination.
- 29 invitees had valid Express Entry profiles with job seeker validation codes.
- The lowest score for the Skilled Worker Stream was 673.

International Education Stream
In its latest draw, Manitoba extended invitations to international graduates through the Graduate Internship Pathway (GIP), a stream under the International Education category of the MPNP. This pathway is designed to retain highly educated individuals who have completed advanced degrees in the province and are likely to contribute to Manitoba’s long-term economic growth.
Eligibility Requirements for GIP Stream:
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree completed in Manitoba in the past 3 years
- Completion of a Mitacs or Accelerate internship with an eligible organization
- CLB level 7 or higher in language proficiency
- Residency in Manitoba at the time of application
- A Career Employment Plan demonstrating future career goals in the province
Skilled Worker Stream
In the July 10 MPNP draw, 27 candidates were invited through the Skilled Worker Stream, specifically under either the Skilled Worker in Manitoba or Skilled Worker Overseas pathways. These individuals had previously received invitations from Manitoba as part of various strategic recruitment initiatives. To qualify, candidates needed to meet a minimum score threshold of 673 on the MPNP points grid.
The province targeted applicants who demonstrated strong ties to Manitoba’s labour market and community networks. Strategic recruitment initiatives focused on attracting talent through channels such as Employer Services, the Francophone Community, Regional Communities, and Ethnocultural Communities.
