Brandon, Manitoba’s second-largest city, has announced its list of designated employers under the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP). The initiative aims to attract skilled workers to support the local economy. The RCIP covers Brandon and nearby areas within a 25 km radius, including Brandon Hills, Chater, Cornwallis, and Riverdale. This marks an important step in strengthening the region’s workforce through immigration.
Approved Employers Under Brandon’s Rural Immigration Pilot
Brandon has released the latest list of designated employers for RCIP. These employers are seeking skilled candidates to fill various roles that support the region’s economic and community needs.
- Brandon Clinic - Brandon Clinic is looking to hire family physicians and specialist physicians. To apply, candidates must either be licensed in Canada or be in the process of gaining licensure.
- Gateway Mechanical Services Inc.
- Glendale Industries Limited
- Keller Developments
- Koch Fertilizer Canada ULC
- Kumon Brandon
- Maple Leaf Foods
- Modular Industrial Structures Brandon (MISB)
- Prairie Mountain Health - Only the Brandon location of Prairie Mountain Health is approved under RCIP. Applicants must be licensed to practice in Canada or already employed with PMH.
- Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.
- The Wellness Clinic - The Wellness Clinic is recruiting for family physician and related health service positions. Candidates should be licensed in Canada or pursuing licensure.
- Walsh Construction
The list will continue to be updated as new designated employers are added.

Eligibility Criteria for Brandon’s Rural Community Immigration Pilot
To apply for Brandon’s RCIP, candidates must secure a job offer from a designated employer and meet the program’s specific requirements. Below are the key conditions applicants need to fulfil.
- The job offer must be in one of Brandon’s priority occupations for RCIP.
- Applicants should have related work experience or qualify under the international graduate exemption.
- They must meet the required language proficiency levels.
- Educational credential requirements should be satisfied.
- Proof of sufficient funds to support themselves and their family during settlement is necessary.
Eligible candidates may receive a certificate of recommendation from Brandon and can apply for permanent residence. They may also get an LMIA-exempt work permit while their PR is in process.
