Saskatchewan Announces Increase in Nominations Under SINP for 2025

The number of nominations in Saskatchwen has increased by 1,136 nominations under Saskatchewan Immigration Nomination Program (SINP) for 2025. This brings to total annual quota to 4,761 nominees.
SINP Changes in 2025
Earlier the federal government has divided Saskatchewan Immigration Program (SINP), but the recent increase in the number has brought more allocation compared to last year, but this recent increase in number has reversed the parts of those cuts and divide. Close to 25% of the new nomination are reserved for sectors like trucking, accommodation, food service, and retail trade; fields that had reached their cap by June, causing returned applications until the latest increment permitted renewed processing.
Nominee Distribution and Sector Priotization
A key federal requirement mandates that 75% of SINP nominees must already be residing in Canada. Among the remaining 25% slots for applicants for overseas and priority is given to those seeking roles in healthcare, agriculture, and skilled trades.

Updates in Policy and Stream Restriction
Saskatchwen recently made certain updateto its nomination program:
- Phased out its Entrepreneur and Farm Owner/Operator pathways for permanent residency.
- Removed eligibility for certain Open Work Permit holders.
- Restricted pathways for the SINP Student Category.
- Excluded services like spas, salons, and pet care (except for veterinarians) from recruitment eligibility under SINP.

Immigration Faces Allocation Adjustments Nationwide
Saskatchewan allocation have increased certain boost in other provinces as well:
- Newfoundland and Labrador added 1,000 PNP spots (total: 2,525, including 475 under the Atlantic Immigration Program)
- New Brunswick’s PNP grew by 1,500 spots (total: 4,250, including AIP slots)
- Yukon got 67 additional nomination places
Contrastly, provinces like Ontario and British Columbia have experienced 50% of cuts in their annual nominations, leading to stream closures and caps for new nomination immigration application.
