Manitoba Invites 77 Skilled Workers in Latest August 2025 Provincial Draw

Manitoba hosted its seventh provincial immigration draw of 2025 and second of August, inviting skilled workers via the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) on August 21. This draw focusee on Skilled Worker Stream, which features two distinctive routes:

- Total Invitations: 77 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued to candidates, out of which 18 were for foreign nationals who held valid Express Entry profile numbers and job seeker validation codes.
- Minimum Score: The lowest-scoring candidate who received an invitation had an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 612.
- Eligibility: Only individuals directly invited by the MPNP as part of strategic recruitment initiatives were eligible for this round.

The Strategic Recruitment Initiative
The strategic recruitment initiative efforts are regulated by Manitoba employers or community organisations to address workforce shortages by identifying and nominating candidates with high-demand skills.
Employers must meet specific criteria and use Manitoba鈥檚 ABC Recruitment Process to present international candidates for provincial nomination. Also, candidates must satisfy eligibility requirements relating to age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and stream-specific conditions.

The issued LAAs were divided among several key provincial initiatives:
- Employer Services: 6 LAAs
- Francophone Community: 29 LAAs
- Regional Communities: 31 LAAs
- Ethnocultural Communities: 11 LAAs

Candidates who did not met the required score but did receive an invitation may have been excluded due to:
- Reporting completion of a recognized language test but providing an invalid or expired test number.
- Stating an invitation through a strategic initiative but failing to include a valid invitation number in their application.
