Canada Holds Second Largest Healthcare Express Entry Draw of 2025

Canada鈥檚 Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its second-largest Express Entry draw of the year on August 19, targetting healthcare and social services professionals with a total of 2,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued.
To qualify for this category applicants needed:
- A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 470.
- Must have created their Express Entry profile before 8:08 p.m. UTC on April 23, 2025.

The very recent draw is the fifth in August and second this week. Since May 2025, has been consistently helding a monthly draw for healthcare and social service candidates, showcasing a shift in commitment towards these sectors. No such draws took place before that in this year, marking a noticeable policy change.
Up untill now in 2025, a total of 55,820 ITAs have been issued via the Express Entry system. Most of the draws this year have targeted Provinical Nominee Program (PNP) candidates, with major focus on the Canadian Expreince Class, individuals with French language proficiency, and designated priority occupation groups.
