The province has majorly focused on candidates who are living and working in PEI in high-demand occupations and sectors, prioritizing international student graduates from select universities and colleges.

So far in 2025, PEI has issued a total of 792 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through its PNP.

Prioritising In-Province Candidates and Priority Sectors

The draw is prioritising foreign nationals employed in high-demand occupations critical to PEI鈥檚 economic growth, including healthcare, trades, construction, and manufacturing.

Additionally, international graduates from local post-secondary institutions, such as the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Coll猫ge de l鈥櫭巐e, received special consideration.

PEI PNP Streams and Eligibility

PEI offers various immigration routes, such as:

• Labour Impact Stream
• Skilled Worker Stream
• Critical Worker Stream
• International Graduate Stream
• PEI Express Entry
• Business Impact Stream
• Work Permit Stream

The eligibility criteria for each category and its respective stream(s) varies. Apart from meeting category/stream criteria, candidates must also be admissible to Canada, and meet federal Express Entry requirements (if applicable).
