Canadian families eagerly waiting for the next instalment of Canada Child Benefit (CCB) would be receiving the deposit on June 2025. This tax free monthly payment administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) plays a crucial role in helping parents and Guardians navigate the rising cost of raising children.
With adjustments made in 2024 and another increase set to come in starting July 2025 the CCB continues to be an essential finance resource for millions of families, including newcomers and temporary residents
CCB Payment Schedule for 2025
The CCB benefit is dispersed monthly, generally around 20th of each month with adjustments for weekends or holidays. The official 2025 CCB payment schedule is as follows:

CCB Payment Benefits in 2025
The CCB benefits amount that applicants receive depends on their Adjusted Family Net Income (AFNI) and the number and ages of their children. For the period of July 2024 to June 2025 the maximum annual monthly benefit is:
- For children up to 6 years: up to CAD 7,787 annually
- For children aged 6 to 17 years: up to CAD 6,570 annually
These maximums apply to families earning less than CAD 36,502 and as income raises, payments are set to gradually reduce like:
- 7% reduction for one child
- 13.5% for two children and higher for more children
For income above CAD 79,087 benefits significantly reduce further, and may eventually phase out.
What's Changing in 2025 Canada Child Benefit CCB?
Starting from July 2025 the Canada Child Benefits (CCB) is set to witness an increase of approximately 2.7% aligning with 2024 inflation (CPI)
New maximum monthly amounts for the year 2025 to 2026 CCB benefit year are estimated as follows
- CAD 666.42 per month (previously CAD 648.91) for children under 6 years of age
- CAD 562.33 per month (previously CAD 547.50) for children aged 6 to 17 years
The thresholds for maximum benefits will also increase to CAD 37,487 with gradual reductions between CAD 37,487 to CAD 81,222 and more significant cuts would be included beyond that.
In order to provide additional support for families, in a recent update by Canada specifies that starting January 2025 CCB payments will now continue for 6 months after the death of the child, helping families manage unexpected funeral expenses.
