You need to have lived in Canada for at least 20 years after turning 18 (or qualify under an international social security agreement for partial benefits). If you're a snowbird or living outside Canada, you may still receive OAS under certain conditions, depending on how long you've lived in Canada and your country of residence. CPP Eligibility: You must be at least 60 years old. You need to have made at least one valid CPP contribution during your working life.
