IRCC has conducted another significant Express Entry draw, targeting candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). In this round, 3,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) were issued, offering more skilled workers already in Canada a chance to transition to permanent residency. This draw marks one of the largest CEC-specific rounds in recent months.
To qualify for this draw, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 518. Additionally, profiles had to be submitted before 1:48 a.m. UTC on October 2, 2024. The CRS cut-off in this round is notably the lowest for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applicants since September 2024, signalling a positive shift for many in the pool.
This marks the second Express Entry draw in July and follows recent selections that include both Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and CEC-specific rounds. With this latest round, IRCC has now issued a total of 45,201 ITAs in 2025, highlighting its ongoing efforts to invite qualified candidates across various immigration pathways.
