The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), in the span of just one week, has conducted 3 draws inviting a total of 1,324 candidates, one of which was considered to be the second-largest Draw of 2025 so far. The candidates invited included Express Entry applicants in Tech occupations and in-demand sectors that are prioritised by the province.

In line with the 2025 draw trends of Canada, the Alberta Opportunity Stream accounted for the highest number of invitations issued by the province.

Increase in Nomination Allocations for Alberta
On September 9, 2025, the government of Alberta announced that it received an increase of 1,528 nominations under the AAIP program, thus making the total allocations under the AAIP to 6,403 from the previous 4,875 in January 2025.
According to the province, this expansion would enhance its ability to address regional labour market demands while supporting key economic priorities. The province redistributed its nominations into various streams, including:
