Alberta Holds Draws to Invite Law Enforcement Professionals

Alberta鈥檚 Provincial Nominee Program has held the fifth 2025 draw for law enforcement professionals through the Express Entry stream. This is part of the ongoing draws under the Law Enforcement Pathway. The idea behind introducing the pathway was to support local police recruitment efforts.
Alberta鈥檚 Law Enforcement Pathway Overview
The Law Enforcement Pathway was launched in June 2024 to address crime and staffing challenges in the Alberta police services. To be eligible for this draw, you need a job offer from a member of the Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police and the fulfilment of all Express Entry criteria. Occupations targeted under this pathway include commissioned and non-commissioned police officers, police investigators, and other specialized law enforcement roles.

Law Enforcement Pathway Draw as of August 2025
On August 19, 2025, AAIP invited fewer than 10 candidates from the Express Entry pool using the Law Enforcement Pathway. The minimum required score for this draw was 45, which is one of the lowest cut-off scores for AAIP draws so far in the year.
Invitations Yet to Be Issued
As of August 27, 2025, the Law Enforcement Pathway nomination allocation and results are as follows:
- Total nominations available in 2025: 20
- Nominations already issued: 11
- Invitations yet to be issued: 9
- Current Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in the pool: 123.

Also, the Alberta Express Entry stream has started prioritising candidates in health care and technology via the Dedicated Health Care Pathway and Accelerated Tech Pathway, alongside law enforcement.
