SAT Exam Pattern in India

Section 1: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW)

This section is divided into 2 parts: Reading and Writing and Language. The SAT exam is scored on a 1,600 point scale with each section, that is, math and evidence based reading and writing, contributing up to 800 points each. Score ranges from 400 to 1600 with an average score around 1050 and a median near 1000.
Most international friendly universities accept scores of 1200 or higher, while elite institutions like Harvard, Stanford and NYU typically look for scores above 1450. To set a competitive target aim for a score that's at least 50 points above your prospective college’s average SAT requirements.

With the introduction of Digital SAT results are now released within a few days, eliminating the long wait times of the previous paper based format.
