The United Arab Emirates has officially dismissed widespread rumours, claiming that Indian nationals are eligible for a lifetime Golden Visa. The federal authority Identity, citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) classified that no such provisions exist for any nationals and warned the public against misinformation.
In a statement released via Emirates News Agency and verified on the ICP’s official Instagram page, the authority emphasized that Golden Visa applications are exclusively processed through official government platforms. It further stated that no internal or external consent consultancy has been authorised to handle applications.
This denial follows recent reports, especially in foreign media, claiming that Indian and Bangladeshi citizens could obtain a lifetime Golden Visa for a fee of AED 100,000 (approximately 23.3 lakhs). The ICP has declared these claims as false and potentially fraudulent.
The authority warned that legal measures will be taken against individuals or entities spreading such misinformation to extract money illegally from visa hopefuls. It urged the public to rely only on official sources like icp.gov.ae or the helpline number 600522222 for accurate visa-related information.
